Miguel Cotto vs Antonio Margarito 2 is a Boxing Super Welterweight battle for the WBA Super Welterweight championship. The bout is going to be held on December 3, 2011, at Madison Square Garden, in New York. Both camp of Cotto and Margarito reached out an understanding on the contract weight for their rematch at 153 pounds. When Cotto (36-2, 29 KOs) and Margarito (38-7, 27 KOs) first met in 2008, they engaged their impressive welterweight title bout at the MGM Grand. Margarito came on strong in the fights against Cotto. But Margarito's fascinating victory was blemished after he was caught with loaded gloves in his following fight with Shane Mosley. Cotto, who is coming off a 12th-round knockout of Ricardo Mayorga in March, is a longtime crowd favorite in New York, having fought six times at the Garden and another last year at Yankee Stadium. For Margarito, it will streak his first accomplishment since a lopsided conquest at the hands of pound-for-pound king Manny Pacquiao in November 2010. The Margarito was required to undertake operation for a broken orbital bone after the fight, encouraging appeals for his retirement. His rematch with Cotto is to some degree of a shot at redemption, the planned for him to show he can beat the shrewdness Puerto Rican without tampered hands, and he already looks to be in incredible form. To be honest, I'm not sure this fight will actually go off.
