The group grew famous as many other countries fears them, Hanzo the leader of Amegakure approached them to have peace negotiations. Hanzo was afraid of their group and so they were put in a trap. Hanzo had joined forces with Konoha’s Danzo to obliterate Yahiko’s gang. Nagato was instructed to by Hanzo to kill Yahiko in exchange, Hazno will free up Konan. Yahiko told Nagato to kill him so that he and Konan will live. Yahiko died and that was the second source of Nagato’s pain. The same feeling after his parents died in front of him. And that were Pain was born.

Naruto Shippuden Episode 174 Plot: After Pain tells his story about the cause of his two Pain by the death of his parents and the death of his friend Yahiko. Pain is waiting for the answer of N`ruto.
