Network of Bloggers

Network of Bloggers

I read in one articles in the internet about network of bloggers and what will be the benefit of it in your own blog. But before that what the heck is this all about? Let me explain this in my own understanding of what is network of bloggers really means. This is some sort of computer networking. You see, if you what to connect to other computers you need to physically connect the two or more computers using cables and switch right? And using computer programs or putting its IP address you can now link two or more computers. Network users are able to share files, printers, and other resources; send electronic messages; and run programs on other computers. Getting near right? Well I guess you have now some idea what is it all about. The same goes as network of bloggers. Networking is probably the most crucial aspect of blogging outside of content creation, and in some cases it can be even more important. If you are continually meeting new bloggers and strengthening the relationships that you have made, you will drastically be in a better position for the future. Building a network will help you to learn from others, gain valuable and loyal readers, to increase inbound links or backlinks of your blog, increase votes at social media sites, and much more. The most common in this category is Link Exchange. If you found a blog related to yours, or just a blog of your friend we put it in “Blogroll” as many of us call it. It is a nice way to increase the number of backlinks and also visitors to your blog. And you do the same too. Those are some of the benefits if you have a network of bloggers. Just piece of advice, though link exchange with other bloggers is good, but you have also aware to link to those “unwanted” or “bad neighborhoods” site/blogs because your precious blog will penalize or worst “get ban” by search engines. Before you do some exchanging links with other bloggers you have to do some “get to know” technique. Hehehe! I think you know what I mean? I’m not trying to scare you but that’s reality. But I guess you can tell the wrong sort right? Now, do you have a network of bloggers? Start now. Happy Hunting!

A Crash Course on Comic Strip History

Comic Strip History
Most people I know would rush to look at the morning’s paper, skimming through the different sections frantically until they find their favorite one- the comic section. Then the ritual would start, they would intently read one strip after the other, occasionally breaking into uncontrollable laughter or knitting their eyebrows in confusion. After going through the comic section, they would put down the paper and go on with their lives. Sequential art has not been always equated with humorous content and cartoon characters. It actually has its origins in the pre-historic cave drawings. The first comic strip was The Yellow Kid, otherwise known as Hogan’s Alley. It appeared in the late 19th century, featuring a bald kid wearing a yellow nightgown. After the Yellow Kid’s debut, more strips came out. These strips were mostly promotional ones that feature some of the most memorable strips in the history of comics. Among the well-known characters from this stage were Little Orphan Annie, Dick Tracy, Popeye, and Mutt & Jeff. Today comic strips vary in their subject matter just like their predecessors, from the exploits of the child and pet tandem (Calvin and Hobbes) to the seemingly ordinary lives of these cartoon characters (Nancy, Blondie, Archie, etc.). Even animals were not spared, a lot of popular strips these days feature animals. Just like Crazy Kat, Garfield, and Mutts. Some comics could also be satirical just like our own A. Lipin and even Pugad Baboy. As time goes by, the comics as a medium and an art form evolved both in content and style. From pure drawings to ballooned dialogues, simple line art became more defined and beautiful. With the advent of modern technology, the comic strips still thrived, bringing more cartoon characters to our lives. We joyfully read about our fictional friends’ exploits, supplementing our daily existence with humor and fun. Maybe the charm of the comic strips comes from simplicity, nice drawing and humor. Even the internet wasn’t spared from the comics invasion. Our favorite comic friends have transferred from paper to another medium that would make them come to life, albeit temporarily, they could bring more joy to their followers worldwide. Some good things might never last, especially when new things replace the old. In the case of the comic strips however, modernization might be a good thing after all.

G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra

G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra
The story is set at Brussels-based GIJOE, an acronym for the Global Integrated Joint Operating Entity, and revolves around an international co-ed force of operatives who use high-tech equipment to battle Cobra, an evil org headed by a Scottish arms dealer. From the Egyptian desert to deep below the polar ice caps, the elite G.I. JOE team uses the latest in next-generation spy and military equipment to fight the corrupt arms dealer Destro and the growing threat of the mysterious Cobra organization to prevent them from plunging the world into chaos. Set ten years in the future, the film is an origin story, showing the rise of the Cobra Organization. One of my favorite character in this movie is Snake Eyes, he's the world's greatest ninja, but he's also next-generation. He's not afraid to use a sword one second, and a split-second later he's pulling out his Glock. His chief nemesis is arguably the world's other great ninja, Storm Shadow. The two grew up together, were blood brothers and now are mortal enemies. Snake-Eyes is quiet in his movements and is a swift and deadly master of multiple martial arts. He is an expert in the use of the ninjato and trench knives (which he collects). He usually carries them in pairs but often uses only one. He is equally qualified with and willing to use standard weapons like firearms and explosives. Making him even more dangerous is that he rarely relies on one set of weapons to the exclusion of others. So there you go. G.I. Joe will go… exactly where it’s gone before. Except with bigger effects. Go Joe!

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, a painful and disabling disorder characterized by inflammation and swelling in the tendons that run through the narrow carpal tunnel in the wrist, and one of the most common of repetitive stress injury. Numbness, tingling, and pain in the base of the thumb and the first three fingers results from the compression of a nerve that shares the carpal tunnel. The syndrome, categorized by the World Health Organization as a work-related musculoskeletal disorder, is caused by excessive and unrelieved repetition of movements that in themselves appear innocuous, such as cutting meat or typing on a computer keyboard. In addition to high frequency of repetition and lack of rest periods, factors that increase risk of hand-wrist damage include awkward or unnatural working posture, use of excessive force in performing a task, and emotional stress. Carpal tunnel syndrome, one of the cumulative trauma disorders reportedly responsible for 30 to 40 percent of worker's compensation claims in the early 1990s, afflicts burgeoning numbers of office workers. Almost half of all carpal tunnel syndrome cases result in 31 days or more of work loss in the United States. The field of health care responded to this affliction with hand clinics designed to rehabilitate disabled workers. Treatment includes rest, exercises, wrist splints, anti-inflammatory medications, learning stress-reducing movement techniques, making adjustments to the individual's workstation, and surgery to reduce pressure on the afflicted nerve.
